Requirements

1. The total hours of classes registered per week should be more than 10 hours (7 courses would amount to 10hours per week).

2. In principle, you need to take courses offered in the School of Global Humanities and Social Sciences (SGHSS).

3. You can also register for courses offered in General Education as well as in Center for Japanese Language and student exchange. Some of these courses do not come with credits, but they count toward the total registration hours (minimum 10 hours per week).

Japanese or English

Japanese:
Language requirement for Japanese-taught courses : Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2

English:
Language requirement for English-taught courses : TOEFL PBT 550, iBT 79, IELTS 6.0; or the CEFR B2.
Applicants enrolled at Universities in English-speaking countries or educated in English are not required to submit language certificates. However, applicants educated in English are required to submit a reference letter to ensure their sufficient English language skills.

Official certificates of IELTS, TOEFL, or Camblidge English

Japanese or English The maximum number of credits you can register per semester is 24, which includes General Education courses. If the course is capped, and seats are full, you will not be able to register for the course.
